Holy Redeemer’s annual celebration of Advent took place this year on Wednesday, December 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. Jack Treu, Holy Redeemer’s music teacher, ran the program and taught students how to sing the songs.
Eighth grade read the script for the concert, which told the story of Jesus’ birth and the events leading up to it. Each class sang at least one song for the crowd. This year, first grade and kindergarten sang their song together for better sound and confidence. Each class will have a solo song to sing for the attendants. Treu has been practicing these cheerful songs for months, starting on October 4th. According to Treu, “It’s taken a lot of patience and work, but we will be ready for the concert.”
