The Stuco picnic is a yearly tradition that occurred this year on May 3. The picnic involves all the grades sitting outside to eat lunch and have recess. “The idea is to promote community as a school,” said Mrs. Debby Koulouriotis. The theme for this year was a beach vacation, inspired by the rapidly-approaching beginning of summer. Students were given colorful leis to add to the celebration. Stuco changes up the theme every year. Last year, the theme was Disney, according to Koulouriotis.
Many students enjoyed the event, and they much appreciated the extra recess time. “There’s very nice weather, and you can do whatever you want,” said seventh grader, Jack Keaveny. Overall, the event was a success with wonderful weather.
