Have you ever wondered who is behind all of the dress-down days? STUCO is a student-lead organization where students get to show their brightest ideas and help plan events around the school.
STUCO meetings take place every first Monday of the month. At the meetings, they come up with fun ideas and activities to make student’s days a little more exciting. So far this year, STUCO has planned a few out of uniform days, a pumpkin scavenger hunt and a pumpkin decorating contest. However, there is so much more to come, so be prepared to be thrilled!
Lily Tolle, our STUCO President, has been a part of the organization for four years. So far, she has thoroughly enjoyed her time as President. Lily states, “STUCO has benefited me in many ways but particularly in my leadership skills. It has made me more independent but also it has helped me to ask for help when I need it. I love to plan and execute all of the fun activities that STUCO gets to create. I most definitely would and will encourage kids to run next year because trying something new is always a good thing.”
“Being in STUCO has helped me with my confidence and with leadership. This will help me to get into highschool because in the interview, I will have more confidence when talking with the interviewer because of the meetings with Mrs. Pahl,” states Lily. Participating in STUCO has many benefits including gaining confidence, leadership skills, and a high school-like experience for those who are close to applying. It is highly encouraged to at least run for STUCO once during your Holy Redeemer experience so you can be a part of making students’ days!
