Breakfast With Santa is an annual event beginning right after church. It was on December 8th this year and was a crowd-pleaser. It was located in our very own Holy Redeemer gym. Open to visitors from 9 AM to 1 PM with an admission cost of $10, there were pancakes, sausages, and eggs served. The atmosphere screamed Christmas spirit! There was Santa’s sleigh in the back corner of the gym with Santa sitting inside, you could take a photo with Santa, and you were given a candy cane, and your printed-out photo. From the food to writing letters to Santa, no doubt it got HR parishioners into the holiday spirit.
There were 8th-grade and 7th-grade volunteers working at the event to help clean up, serve, and take care of kids and adults alike. Riley Guller said, “My favorite part of volunteering at the Breakfast With Santa is helping the kids stay occupied and entertained with activities led by the volunteers.” Adela Kessler also volunteered to set up the gym and her favorite part about the event was being able to spread Christmas cheer. As you can see students love volunteering at Breakfast With Santa and many families love going to Holy Redeemer to share the tradition.
