Country Boy to Passionate Teacher

Mr. Allen grew up in the countryside of Mississippi, he was very adventurous and his childhood was an outdoor paradise with the nearest grocery store a full 30 minutes away and just one television station to watch. He spent countless hours riding bikes, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Allen attended a small school, where the bonds with friends were very special. His favorite activity was playing baseball. It was more than just a game; it was a way to connect with friends and connect the joy of teamwork and competition.

One of Mr. Allen’s most cherished memories was visiting his grandparents in Arkansas. The visits were special not just because of the change of scenery from the middle of nowhere to mountain tops, but because he got to stay with them without his sisters. It was an unforgettable event that left an everlasting impression on him

Mr. Allen’s journey to becoming a beloved, passionate, and loving teacher was inspired by his wife. She was a teacher before him, and seeing how much she enjoyed teaching and watching kids grow and learn inspired him to follow in her footsteps. This decision has brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

One of Mr. Allen’s greatest accomplishments is teaching his 8th grade class and eventually watching them Graduate, along with the 7th graders, and a new class of 6th graders. The pride he feels in seeing his students learn and grow is unmatched.

When asked about his future, Mr. Allen sees himself still teaching in five years, fueled by his passion for education. In ten years, however, he envisions a retirement, living in the middle of nowhere, likely reminiscing about his journey from a country boy to a passionate teacher.
